Ticket Update

Demand for tickets has far exceeded supply and all Radiohead's headline shows are now sold out.

Strict rules are in place to try and reduce online touting, but inevitably some will find their way onto secondary ticketing sites at inflated prices.

To those thinking about buying a ticket from a secondary site, PLEASE CAREFULLY CHECK THE ORIGINAL RULES FOR THE VENUE CONCERNED; MANY OF THE TICKETS WILL BE NAMED AND STRINGENT ID CHECKS WILL BE IN PLACE SO YOU RISK BEING REFUSED ENTRY TO THE VENUE.

We hope you understand the need to put such measures in place to give more fans a chance to get to the shows.

Spectre

Last year we were asked to write a tune for the Bond movie Spectre.
Yes we were. It didn't work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much.
As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it.
Merry Christmas. May the force be with you.

humor

hello

you may or may not know that ive got a book coming out. its called 'humor' and its published by faber + faber on november 6. there are 2 editions; a 'standard' hardback [really quite posh] and a limited edition version that is printed on hemp paper that comes signed + with a print + in a slipcase [really incredibly posh].

theres also a sort of launch event on november 3 at the social in london. information here

ps if youve got or read my earlier books called 'slowly downward' and 'household worms' everything will be familiar because its both of those stuck together with new pictures and a fancy-assed cover...

Tomorrow's Modern Boxes

As an experiment we are using a new version of BitTorrent to distribute a new Thom Yorke record.

The new Torrent files have a pay gate to access a bundle of files..

The files can be anything, but in this case is an 'album'.

It's an experiment to see if the mechanics of the system are something that the general public can get its head around ...

If it works well it could be an effective way of handing some control of internet commerce back to people who are creating the work.

Enabling those people who make either music, video or any other kind of digital content to sell it themselves.

Bypassing the self elected gate-keepers.

If it works anyone can do this exactly as we have done.

The torrent mechanism does not require any server uploading or hosting costs or 'cloud' malarkey.

It's a self-contained embeddable shop front...

The network not only carries the traffic, it also hosts the file. The file is in the network.

Oh yes and it's called
Tomorrow's Modern Boxes.
