ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

Westerpark is a public park in Amsterdam located 3 km / 2 miles from city centre. There is easy access to the park using bus, tram or metro.

Parking:

Car parking spots are extremely limited in the area surrounding Westerpark, though there is plenty of bicycle parking. The majority of the audience used public transportation or rode bicycles to the gig.

Energy:

Today was a big battery day for lights. The remaining stage power was drawn from generators.

Recycling:

Only glass and paper are recycled in Amsterdam according to the promoter; plastic bottles are reused via a deposit system. We collected backstage accordingly.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles.

Other green initiatives/issues:

Tap aerators are used to reduce tap water waste. Some venue concessions companies used organic, non-GM food. Venue implimented a cup deposit system to encourage people to return their recyclable cups.

Many thanks to Marjolein Zonnevald and everyone at Mojo Concerts.
