ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY
White Water Amphitheatre is located 36 miles / 57 km from downtown Seattle and 162 miles / 261 km from downtown Portland. There are no public transport links to the venue though there is park 'n ride service from the local mall to cut down on concert traffic. The venue carried over a 100 busloads of vans through the park 'n ride program.
Parking:
The venue has a pre-existing priority car pool parking plan for all those driving four+ people per car.
Energy:
The venue electricity is supplied by Puget Sound Energy. We are working with the venue to purchase renewable energy for the show.
Recycling:
The venue has a full recycling and composting program backstage as well as recycling throughout the audience area.
Catering:
Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Uncooked catering waste was composted on site.
Concessions:
The concessions company uses recyclable plastic cups and bottles which are recycled by the venue. All venue waste is sorted for recyclables.
Other green initiatives/issues:
The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels. The whole venue has converted to water coolers and marked cups to cut down on bottled water use.
A big thanks to Bolin Keck and Matthew Lamb for their help throughout the show.
