ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY
Bruselska Cesta is a green field site in Prague, Czech Republic. The venue is part of the Vystaviste expo site originally build for the 1891 Jubilee Exhibition.
Transportation:
The venue is within walking distance to the underground stops Vltavska and Nadrazi Holesovice and directly by stop Vystaviste on four different tram lines. The venue is within 10min of Prague city centre by public transport.
Energy:
Electricity was supplied as a combination of mains power (Prazska Energetika) and low pollution generator power.
Recycling:
Paper, plastic, aluminium, and glass recycling stations were setup in catering and throughout the backstage area. The promoter and catering company agreed to provide reusable hard plastic cups with deposit for the audience area -- the first for such a show in the Czech Republic.
Catering:
Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with refillable water bottles.
Other green initiatives/issues:
Friends of the Earth Czech Republic (Hnuti Duha) were welcomed participants support the Climate Change Bill in the Czech Republic as part of The Big Ask Europe campaign.
