ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

The Hollywood Bowl is located 7.5 mi / 12 km from central Los Angeles. Metro bus lines #156 and #163 provide transport directly to the venue. The venue provides free BowlBus Shuttle link up service for those riding the Metro rail red line to the show.

Parking:

Due to space limitations at the venue site, there was no preferential carpool park for this show. The venue provides Park & Ride service for those driving to the venue as most parking spots are off site.

Energy:

The venue electricity is supplied by LAPWD which has a green tariff program for purchasing renewable energy: http://www.ladwp.com/ladwp/cms/ladwp001924.jsp. We are currently waiting to hear back if they already participate with this program...

Recycling:

The venue has a full recycling program backstage and Can/bottle collection bins for the audience area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles. Uncooked catering waste was separated for offsite food waste processing.

Concessions:

The concessions company uses recyclable plastic cups and bottles. All venue waste is later sorted for recyclables.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue has installed low flow faucets, low flow shower heads, green hand soap, recycled paper toilet paper and hand towels. The venue is also subject to California’s landfill waste reduction programs: http://www.co.imperial.ca.us/PublicWorks/PDFdocuments/fact%20sheet%20recycling.pdf

Many thanks to Rick Stuart for his help throughout the show.
