ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

Glasgow Green is a greenfield site located in the centre of Glasgow. The venue is within easy walking distance of Buchanan Street Bus Station and the Buchanan Street Underground.

Parking:

There are no parking spaces at all in the immediate vicinity of the park. We setup a secure bike parking lot which was used by approximately 50 people. The vast majority of the audience used public transport links.

Energy:

Today was a big battery charge day. We ran biodiesel generators to run our stage audio and lights.

Recycling:

We were able to recycle aluminium / paper / plastic / glass backstage and paper / plastic throughout the audience area via DC Site Services.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals.

Concessions:

The concessions company used paper beer cups. All audience waste was sorted by the cleaning company for recycling.

Other green initiatives/issues:

The venue is a temporary structure on a Greenfield site. Much care is taken to convert the field back to its original state after the show is completed.

Many thanks to Tony Wheeler and everyone at DF Concerts Limited.
